On-Site EKG
An EKG in the same visit, not next week
Rosewood Medical performs electrocardiograms on site at our Corona office. If something about your heart rhythm needs a closer look, we can do it during the appointment you are already in — no second building, no second trip, no waiting days to find out.
What an EKG actually does
An electrocardiogram records the electrical activity of your heart. It takes a few minutes, involves small stickers placed on your chest, arms and legs, and it does not hurt at all. There are no needles and nothing enters your body.
What it can help us see: irregular rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, a heart rate that is too fast or too slow, signs of strain from long-standing high blood pressure, and evidence of a previous heart event you may not have known about.
When we might suggest one
Chest discomfort or pressure. Palpitations, or a heartbeat that feels wrong. Shortness of breath that is new. Dizziness or fainting. Before certain medications are started. And as part of monitoring when you are living with high blood pressure or diabetes.
The reason we keep it in-house
A test you have to schedule somewhere else is a test that often does not happen. Life gets in the way. Keeping it here means we get the answer while you are still in the room, and we can explain what it shows in plain language — in English or Spanish — before you leave.
If you are having chest pain right now, do not wait for an appointment. Call 911. Si tiene dolor de pecho en este momento, llame al 911.
