I created Rosewood Medical with a simple belief: healthcare should feel human.
After years of experience, I saw how often patients felt rushed, unheard, or treated like just another appointment. I knew it could be different—and I wanted to create that difference.

Rosewood is built on time, trust, and true connection.
Here, we don’t rush visits. We take the time to listen, understand, and care for you as a whole person—not just your symptoms.

My mission is to provide care that feels personal, respectful, and deeply compassionate—in a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and truly supported.

I wanted Rosewood to feel calm, welcoming, and warm—a place where you can breathe, ask questions, and feel at ease knowing you’re in good hands.

Background & Credentials

Dr. Laura Nieves is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has cared for adults in Corona for years before founding Rosewood Medical here — in the community she now calls home.

She earned her medical degree and a master’s degree in public health from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico, graduating in 2011, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She has been board certified in internal medicine since 2014 and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).

Before private practice, Dr. Nieves served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and as a site director and assistant professor for the Riverside Community Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. She was honored as one of the City of Corona’s “Top 40 Under 40.”

Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, decorating, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Sabrina Monfils, PA-C — Physician Assistant

Sabrina is a certified Physician Assistant who chose primary care for the reason that matters most here: she wanted to know her patients over time, not meet them once.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of La Verne and completed her medical training at Loma Linda University.

She is especially committed to preventive medicine and to patient education. Her view is simple — people take better care of themselves when they actually understand what is happening and why. So she explains. She answers the question behind the question. And she would rather spend the extra minutes now than have you leave with instructions you never followed because nobody told you what they were for.

Outside the clinic
Sabrina spends her time with her fiancé and their dog and cat, and she is usually happiest outdoors — on a trail somewhere, getting in a good hike.
