Internal Medicine & Primary Care in Corona, CA
One doctor who knows your whole story.
That sounds modest until you have lived without it — repeating your history to a new face every visit, explaining a medication you have taken for six years, watching someone read your chart for the first time while you sit there waiting.
Rosewood Medical is an internal medicine practice on Magnolia Avenue in Corona, led by Dr. Laura Nieves, MD, board certified in internal medicine. We are your everyday doctor: the one you see for the annual physical, the one who manages the condition you live with, and the one you call when something is wrong and you are not sure what.
Who we care for
Adults 18 and older — from your twenties through your eighties. We do not see children or teenagers, and if you need a pediatrician we will happily point you to one.
What internal medicine actually means
Internal medicine is adult medicine. Not a narrower version of family practice — a different training path, focused on how conditions in adults interact, because they rarely arrive one at a time.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, kidney function, cholesterol and weight are one system, not five separate problems, and treating one badly can worsen another. That whole-picture view is the point of the specialty, and it is what Dr. Nieves spent three years of residency and twelve years of practice learning to do well.
What we handle
Annual physicals and preventive care. The visit that finds things early, matched to your age and history.
Ongoing conditions. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid, asthma, smoking cessation — managed over years, not appointments.
Everyday illness. Infections, fevers, the cough that will not go away. Same-day appointments when you need them.
The things that are harder to name. Fatigue. Trouble sleeping. Weight that changed without explanation. Feeling off in a way that does not fit a category. These deserve investigation, not dismissal.
Medication management. A real review of everything you take, including supplements and anything bought off a shelf. Lists tend to grow and rarely get trimmed.
Referrals and coordination. When you need a specialist, we help you find the right one and stay involved. You should never be the one carrying information between doctors.
Lab work
We order your labs and review every result with you in plain language. Draws are done at LabCorp, Quest, or Corona Regional Medical Center — whichever is most convenient for you — and the results come back to us.
In English or in Spanish
Dr. Nieves is fluent in Spanish and our front desk is bilingual, so your visit can happen entirely in the language you think in.
